Danielle Budnick, M.S.
Ms. Budnick attended Aquinas
College in East Grand Rapids, Michigan and earned a
Bachelor of Art Degree with a Minor in Early Childhood
Development. After graduating, she taught for
Grand Rapids Public Schools in Special Education.
While working for Grand Rapids Public Schools, she
decided to pursue a Master's Degree in Special Education
and attended Grand Valley State University with a dual
major in Cognitive Impairments and Learning
Disabilities. After earning her Master's Degree
she continued working for Grand Rapids Public Schools
until 2008 when she decided to leave Michigan and move
to Chicago. She established residency in downtown
Chicago and began gaining teaching experience in the
"Big City". For the past 3 years she taught for
Chicago Public Schools and is now currently teaching
2nd/3rd Grade special education in Elk Grove Village.
She is committed in various areas of
education; her experience includes differentiating
instructing, collaboration and communication skills, and
developing leadership skills. She is a highly
adaptable and versatile teacher, having experience teaching
diverse groups of students within various grade levels.
She has had the opportunity to teach Kindergarten through
8th Grade in self contained and full inclusion classrooms.
Also, has had the honor to teach students with Behavior
Disorders, ADD/ADHD, Hearing and Visual Impairments, Speech
and Language Impairments, Learning Disabilities, Cognitive
Impairments, Autism, and Physical challenges. These
experiences have helped her grow into a well-rounder teacher
and individual, seeing each student as a unique learner and
taking their needs and interests into account.
Ms. Budnick would like to pursue her
dream and obtain a Doctoral Degree in Education Leadership
and Administration at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Ms Budnick is a member of the National Tutoring Association.
